Ferrari announces start dates for its 2021 season

Ferrari roared this Friday morning, for the first time and successfully, the new engine which will equip the SF1 that the Team will line up during the 2021 season.

The venerable institution took the opportunity to announce that it would launch its season on February 26 before the car was presented on March 10, i.e. 2 days before the start of the winter tests in Bahrain (March 12-14). Both events will be organized virtually, due to the health crisis.

After experiencing its worst campaign among the elite since the 1980 season, Ferrari, 6th in the latest Manufacturers' ranking, must absolutely raise the bar in 2021.

Despite stable and particularly restrictive technical regulations in terms of development, Mattia Binotto ensures that the SF21 “ represents an improvement in all areas where developments are authorized ».

The head of Gestione Sportiva has set the objective of a return to the top three of the championship, with the 2022 aerodynamic revolution remaining the priority for Maranello (Italy).

The trans stablealpine however, has strong hopes for its new engine after the setbacks encountered in this area last year and which occurred in the wake of a private and secret agreement reached with the FIA just before the start of the season.

Entrusted to the expert hands of Charles Leclerc and the recruit Carlos Sainz, the SF21 will have the mission to make us forget the disappointing SF1000.
