This position is now proudly assumed within the Italian team. While Ferrari has already begun to work on the upcoming season and the long-awaited new regulations it suggests, plans for 2025 are not yet to be shelved. On the contrary, Team aims for the ambitious objective of being able to develop the two single-seaters simultaneously, despite the calculation of separation of resources induced in this approach.

In this case, in addition to the few aerodynamic developments already littering the reds' season, a major structural improvement has been planned for many weeks. Loïc Serra is indeed said to be in charge of allowing Ferrari to benefit from a brand new rear suspension by the summer, in order to allow the SF-25 to finally reveal the full potential that the teams in Maranello continue to believe in. After allowing a wider range of adjustments to the team's engineers at the floor level, a new performance milestone is targeted by this major structural update.

A test already scheduled at Mugello

This Thursday, our Italian colleagues at Auto-Racer revealed that the schedule for the introduction of this development has already been agreed upon. In this case, one of the days of testing on the Mugello circuit will be dedicated to testing the new suspension on track. During July, 200 km will be covered in these conditions on a better-equipped circuit in terms of configuration, requiring more energy deployed in certain corners, and more variations in elevation. This allows for more realism in terms of the pressure exerted on the car.

Subsequently, a validation will have to take place within the Scuderia to determine the best time at which these parts should be installed during a race weekend on the SF-25. Here, Ferrari has apparently chosen not to prioritize Silverstone, contrary to what was initially indicated, since all the tests allowing for optimal settings have not yet been carried out. Advocating patience for speedy installation, Ferrari once again demonstrates its confidence in this new stage of development.

Given the progress of events, could Spa finally remain the scene of the Scuderia's revival in this 2025 season? Land of the two victories of Lewis Hamilton In 2024, Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps will be watched at every point by Tifosi whose thirst for victory has never seemed so great at this stage.

According to Italian media, one of the 200km test days at Mugello will be dedicated to testing the new suspension. Private testing of the SF25? This looks a bit like a last-minute gamble by the Scuderia to avoid ending up empty-handed in 2025 while trying to win at least one GP this season...
