Ferrari reveals the name of its F1 for 2022 and celebrates an anniversary

The Ferrari reserved for Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr will be called the F1-75, to celebrate a very special anniversary.

Ferrari reveals the name of its F1 for 2022 and celebrates an anniversary

La Team Ferrari chose an ordinary winter Tuesday to emerge from its torpor and enliven the planet Formula 1. The Italian team in fact revealed this February 1st the name of the car that will pilot Charles Leclerc et Carlos Sainz Jr on the circuits in 2022: it will be the F1-75.

Why this number? John Elkann, President of the Prancing Horse brand, has a ready answer. “Formula 1, with its spirit of competition and innovation, has always been a fundamental part of Ferrari, as well as a driving force in the technological development of our road cars. This year, as we celebrate 75th anniversary of the release of our first production car from the Maranello factory, we honor this spirit by naming our 1 F2022 the Ferrari F1-75. » You had to think about it!

It is indeed the 12 mars 1947 that the 125S, a barquette assembled under the direction of Enzo Ferrari, started its 12 horsepower Colombo V118 engine. The presentation of the Ferrari F1-75 will take place at 14 p.m. on February 17.
