Ferrari and the tobacco company Philip Morris launched a research and development platform called “ Winnow Mission » and intended to promote scientific and technological innovation.
The revamped livery of the red cars incorporates the logo of the project in question, of which few concrete details have leaked for the moment. The term " win now » is an old verb in the English language which means to sort the wheat from the chaff. It can also be read « win now »Either « win now » in English.
« I want to thank Philip Morris because they have had the right to display sponsors on the car since the start of the season, said Maurizio Arrivabene, former vice-president of Philip Morris Europe and current boss of Gestione Sportiva. They didn’t do it right away because they weren’t in a rush.
Our companies are evolving and seeking to move towards a better future and better performance. We want to learn from our mistakes to move forward. You will tell me that we are not at the top of the championship but we are in the learning phase. To win tomorrow, you have to learn today ».
And here is the new livery #Ferrari, presented this morning at #Suzuka. It is part of a research and development program for innovation “Mission Winnow” launched by Philip Morris. Not sure I understood everything but the car is still red. #F1 pic.twitter.com/7erqF7M7fQ

« We come back with a new initiative after 10 years without a presence on the car F1, added Riccardo Parino, Philip Morris vice president in charge of partnerships. It is very important for us to say that the logo and the campaign are not related to tobacco ».
In the somewhat vague case that interests us, we will rather talk about sorting out the good grain of the livery…
