Ferrari: The F138 allows us to look to the future

Fernando Alonso only failed by three points Sebastian Vettel in 2012 despite great combativeness displayed by the Asturian and his team. The stability of the technical regulations obliges the teams to work on the bases of the previous year, but the Team Ferrari will still have done its best to correct the defects of the F2012. “The main objective is to immediately benefit from car competitive for pilots », commented Team Principal Stefano Domenicali. “Unfortunately, we have not been able to reach the best level at the start of the season in recent years. We really need to be efficient from the start of the year. »

Scuderia Ferrari will have to find the energy to attack the other top teams, and more particularly the Red Bull Racing, his executioner in 2010 and 2012. The director of the Scuderia is convinced that his team will have the skills to fully exploit the potential of the F138 which could facilitate the drivers' season if it proves particularly more effective in qualifying. “We went through a season that was very difficult from an emotional point of view. Finishing in second place at the end of the last race (at Interlagos) is always difficult. But we have already turned the page on last year and started to improve the positive aspects of 2012 such as reliability and our race strategy. There are many things that allow us to look forward to this new season. »
