Ferrari campaigns for Schumi

The 2010 season is fast approaching but Ferrari has not lost hope of being able to run three cars next year. There Formula 1 evolving rapidly, just like its regulations, the Team continues to push for the idea to be accepted. On an economic level, the approach is not nonsense, enormous sums being committed to develop a cutting-edge car of which only two examples can run in Grand Prix. The operating cost of a third car would therefore be insignificant compared to the development cost of the 2010 model.

« A third car remains an essential subject for us, confirmed Stefano Domenicali at Suzuka. We emphasize this point because we believe it is a sensible approach, especially for someone like Michael Schumacher. »

The Scuderia team manager admitted that he was ? Impossible » to see the seven-time world champion racing in 2009 during an F1 Grand Prix. As for next season, “ who knows ? » Stefano Domenicali simply commented.

Michael Schumacher was appointed by Ferrari during the summer to replace Felipe Massa at the European Grand Prix in Valencia. The German pilot accepted, training hard, before having to throw in the towel due to a sore neck.
