Ferrari did not show its potential according to Rosberg

Three races and three victories. The start of the season Nico Rosberg remains idyllic since the start of the 2016 championship in Melbourne, Australia. The German driver is riding the momentum of his end of the 2015 season where the vice-world champion won in Mexico, Brazil and Abu Dhabi.

If his teammate Lewis Hamilton does not display the same success as in 2015, the expected threat of Team Ferrari has yet to show its true colors ahead of the fourth meeting of the year in Russia this weekend, according to the son of the 1982 world champion.

“Lewis is still the reference for me because he is the reigning champion. Ferrari hasn't shown everything they can do yet et Red Bull also seems to be on an upward slope, so this should be a good fight that I'm looking forward to. I expected nothing less. For the moment, I'm just going to take the races one after the other, focusing on myself, to accomplish the job to the best of my ability. This approach has worked well for me so far. »

Rosberg will return to a Sochi track which has still not smiled on him since the arrival of the event on the calendar F1 in 2014. Second that same year for the first edition, the German was forced to retire last year following an accelerator problem while leading the Grand Prix.

« I know I'm competitive on this track. I have good memories with the celebrations of the team's two championship titles, so I'm happy to come back here and see how we perform. »
