Ferrari rejects 'budget cap'

If all the teams represented by FOTA finally registered for the 2010 championship, we must not forget the conditions put into the balance of this decision. The team association reminded the FIA ​​that it hoped to obtain satisfaction on two things: the cancellation of technological advantages in favor of low-budget teams, and the postponement of the reform of the budget cap, the “budget cap”. ". This Sunday, Stefano Domenicali reaffirms this common desire of the different manufacturers: “ Making the 2009 regulations the starting point (of those of 2010, editor's note) means that there will be no budgetary ceiling », declared the boss of the Team at the BBC.

However, despite the conditions desired by FOTA, many observers agree that the registration of teams for the 2010 championship means that they have accepted the FIA ​​regulations. Stefano Domenicali would like to point out that this is not the case: “ If the conditions are not met, entries will not be valid. » The standoff therefore continues between the so-called historic stables and the federation. The latter, which has all the files in hand, has the ball in its court. And, above all, the power to change nothing in the 2010 regulations wanted by Max Mosley. The verdict of the teams selected for the 2010 championship will be known on June 12.
