Ferrari returns to the causes of Felipe Massa's exits

We now know a little more about the two violent accidents that Felipe Massa suffered this weekend in Monaco, each time at the same place. On Saturday morning, during the last free practice session, he lost control of his F138 at Sainte-Dévote before violently hitting the safety rail and ending his crazy swerve into the protective barriers. According to Ferrari, the accident would have been caused by a pilot error after he hit a bump. More fear than harm at this time for the Brazilian, who on the other hand will be unable to take part in qualifying and who will therefore start from last place the next day in the race.

A race which will come to an abrupt end on the 29th lap, when the 2008 world vice-champion comes out just as violently in exactly the same place as the day before. Visibly affected, the Paulist will be put on a neck brace as a safety measure before being taken to hospital for tests. After examining the wreckage of the F138, the Scuderia confirms that the left front suspension has failed, which caused the exit. Despite their similarities, the two accidents are ultimately very different. As for Felipe Massa, Stefano Domenicali assured Monday that he was fine. ?I believe that within a few days he will be back in perfect shape and ready to ride in Montreal?
