Ferrari already expecting to suffer at Silverstone

The winning streak of Mercedes ended at the Austrian GP with the victory of Max Verstappen (Red Bull), but the Team Ferrari is still seeking its first victory of the season.

The Italian team is preparing for the British GP at Silverstone this weekend, an event it won last year with Sebastian Vettel who had benefited from a bad start to Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes). The Silverstone track doesn't seem to particularly suit the SF90.

“Silverstone is one of the toughest circuits of the season. It offers a real challenge to the balance of the car, explains Team Principal Mattia Binotto. The tires also undergo large loads and their behavior has a crucial role in the race. We don't expect Silverstone to be a good fit for our car, but we saw in each race that the hierarchy of forces could evolve, often in unforeseen ways. We will make some aerodynamic improvements as the car develops. »

Sebastian Vettel, the last winner on the British track, is still aiming to return to success since last year's Belgian GP.

“I prefer the oldest sectors where the speed of passage is fast, admits the four-time world champion. We won here last year and it's also where Ferrari took their first victory in F1. The brand is therefore very linked to this circuit. »
