We were expecting the SF16-H equipped with the Halo v2 for the Austrian Grand Prix last weekend, but bad weather conditions forced the Team Ferrari to postpone the track launch of the new version of the cockpit protection system, which should be made mandatory in 2017.
Solution preferred by the FIA, this revised and corrected Halo was finally tried by Sebastian Vettel this morning during free practice 1 of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on an installation lap. The first version had already been seen at Ferrari during pre-season testing in Barcelona.
