Ferrari works with patience

Si Ferrari was named favorite by many drivers and team managers before the Bahrain Grand Prix, the F10 of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa did not appear at the top of the timesheets this Friday. Which does not worry Stefano Domenicali, who prefers to focus on the work of preparing for the race rather than trying to establish an impossible hierarchy.

« We had set ourselves a program based around preparation for Sunday's race and we are happy with what we saw today. », attests the boss of the Scuderia.

« Even more than in the past, it is difficult to get an idea of the hierarchy on Friday because the fuel level of the different cars, during the three hours of testing, can vary considerably. »

After two free practice sessions intended to refine the settings of the F10 for Sunday's race, the third free practice session, Saturday morning, will be used to prepare for qualifying. Thus, a first hierarchy will begin to take shape.

« We must now try to prepare as best as possible for tomorrow's qualifications, continues Domenicali. It will be tight, difficult, for a multitude of reasons. But we must not lose sight of the fact that the points will only be distributed on Sunday. »
