End of quarantine for Pérez, his return suspended due to a negative PCR test

Replaced by Nico Hulkenberg at the last British Grand Prix after testing positive for Covid-19, Sergio Pérez could potentially return to the seat of its RP20 this weekend, for the 70th anniversary Grand Prix, also contested in the lair of Silverstone.

Racing Point confirmed this Thursday that the Mexican had completed his quarantine period, according to the recommendations of Public Health England, and is now awaiting a negative PCR test for the former pilot McLaren and Sauber to make his decision on his return to the wheel. A choice that could come this evening or tomorrow morning.

Remember that Sergio Pérez returned to Mexico between the Hungarian and British Grands Prix, to go to the bedside of his mother, who was hospitalized.
