End of series for Ocon in Monaco

Esteban Ocon was on a good run with five consecutive points finishes and a 5th place in Spain. Things became complicated during free practice for the Monaco GP for the Force India driver, who made a mistake at the Swimming Pool on Saturday morning, thus compromising his chances in qualifying.

" It was hard, explains Ocon, like during the whole weekend. Things didn't go the way we wanted during the race, which was a shame because we had good pace and should have finished in the points. »

Esteban Ocon explains his poor performance by a lack of success in the race which forced him to make an additional stop.

“I was fighting with Felipe Massa (Williams) and we managed the undercut for the second relay. But I had a puncture, probably due to a piece of debris, and I had to stop again. It didn't help me with the race. We just had bad luck. »

Force India delivered a clean sheet this weekend with a 13th place for Sergio Perez which breaks his chain of fifteen consecutive finishes in the points. Esteban Ocon is now 10th in the championship with 19 points in his pocket.
