The 37-year-old left Force India in August to replace Luca Badoer at the wheel of the Ferrari n°3 with the assurance of having a test pilot contract in 2010.
Scuderia boss Stefano Domenicali has always maintained that his driver was authorized to occupy a place on the grid if he found a seat in another team. But his last chances have, it seems, gone with the commitment of Pedro de la Rosa to BMW Sauber F1.
“I prefer to stay with Ferrari as a third driver,” Fisichella confirmed today during the F10 presentation in Maranello.
In addition to this F1 program, Giancarlo Fisichella will be engaged in Le Mans Series at the wheel of an F430.
