Flavio Briatore accuses

The International Automobile Federation has removed all traces of the Briatore system by pronouncing a total ban from the world of motorsport following the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix affair involving (former) members of the Renault team F1 team.

Today, Flavio Briatore intends to counterattack and bring down a system which, in his words, has nothing democratic about it.

According to the former director of the Renault team, the FIA carried out “secret negotiations” before presenting a “fictitious hearing”.

Flavio Briatore brought the case before the Paris High Court and requested the annulment of the banning decision pronounced by the FIA (as well as the five-year suspension against Pat Symonds) and one million ?euros in damages.

Following this announcement, the FIA condemned orchestrated leaks of documents, refusing to make any statement before the hearing date on November 24.

Yesterday, the Italian re-attacked in a statement published on his behalf to assert that his action was made public and that no document was confidential.

“The FIA forgets to mention that, according to the statements of one of its vice-presidents to the press, the decision of the World Council was more the result of secret negotiations, on the eve of a fictitious hearing,” says Briatore.

This vice-president would be Mohammed Ben Sulayem who declared in ?Abu Dhabi National? : “We did our negotiations before and everyone was happy with the result. »
