Flavio Briatore, influential figure of the F1 of the 90s and 2000s, thinks he can return to the circuits frequented by the queen single-seater discipline. The former manager of Renault F1 Team, accused of having organized the accident of Nelson Piquet Jr at the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix to promote the victory of Fernando Alonso, has however been banned from FIA motorsport.
Although he has admitted several times that he would never return to manage an F1 team, the multifaceted Italian does not rule out returning to the world of Formula 1. If he is no longer in the mood for holiness, Flavio Briatore could visit an F1 which is no longer governed by the FIA of Max Mosley, but that of Jean Todt.
Flavio Briatore believes he has paid dearly in this affair but does not rule out appearing in the paddock again in the medium term. “ I was pushed out like a criminal, he tells Sky Italia. I will never return to Formula 1 as team manager but perhaps after 2012 in another role. »
