Force India has confirmed the departure of Nico Hülkenberg at the end of the 2016 season. The German is expected to join Renault next year.

Force India confirms Hulkenberg's departure

Nico Hulkenberg should join well Renault Sport F1 Team from 2017. Force India has just announced that the winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015 with Porsche quittera l’écurie à la fin de la saison “to take advantage of other opportunities”.

Nico Hülkenberg occupies ninth place in the Championship, 26 points behind his teammate Sergio Pérez. The German will take the seat of Jolyon Palmer or Kevin Magnussen, even if Renault Sport F1 Team could consider having an entirely new crew for 2017. On the Force India side, Pascal Wehrlein is mentioned to play alongside Sergio Pérez next year. His current teammate Esteban Ocon could defend the interests of the Losange.
