Force India is late

If the absence of a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (SREC) is not a surprise for the “small” Force India team, that of the adjustable front wing makes Force India a special case at the start of the season .

“It?s not as simple as it seems,” explains Adrian Sutil. “You need a small electric motor to raise and lower the wing with many software developments. »

The Force India VJM002 will have to wait for their return to Europe to receive these new developments: “I think we will have KERS (SREC in French) and the quickly adjustable front wing. KERS is ready, we just need to be sure to find an advantage there. »

According to the new regulations, the pilot can change the angle of the wing by 6°.
