Force India quells takeover rumors
The accounts of the said company did not suggest sufficient financial power to acquire a team of Formula 1 but Force India, whose change of identity and the legal troubles of its main team Vijay Mallya continued to stir up headlines this winter, wanted to deny these rumors through a press release.
« Following recent speculative articles regarding the sale of the Force India Formula One Team Limited entity, the company's shareholders wish to clarify the situation: no offers from potential investors are currently being considered. The team is fully focused on the start of F1 winter testing next week. OUR car 2018 will be presented in Barcelona on Monday February 26. Sergio Pérez and Esteban Ocon will unveil the VJM11 in the pit lane at 08:00 local time. »
Force India has finished fourth in the Constructors' Championship for the last two seasons.
