Force India limits the damage

As early as Friday, Sergio Pérez was the first to criticize Pirelli tires as too hard. The two Force Indias spent the weekend far from their standing displayed since the start of the season. Despite the difficulties of the two VJM07s, Sergio Pérez and Nico Hulkenberg arrived in the points in 9th and 10th position.

“We have really limited the damage, explains the German. From the first runs, we knew that it would not be our best circuit. Tire degradation was high, and the car was difficult to drive at the end of the race, but it was the same for everyone. We will rely on the data collected to improve for the next races. »

Sergio Pérez believes that he could have aimed for 7th place. “If I had stopped earlier I could have aimed better because my pace was better than other cars. But it was so difficult to overtake. We must be satisfied to continue our quest for points. »
