Force India: Liuzzi returns to the track

Vitantonio Liuzzi was tipped to inherit Giancarlo Fisichella's seat at Ferrari, it?s now official. The Italian driver replaces his compatriot and will once again compete in a race of Formula 1, his last Grand Prix dating back to Brazil, at the end of 2007, with Toro Rosso. After a season and a half as a test driver with Force India, the 2004 champion of F3000 will compete in his 40th F1 Grand Prix at Monza.

For his part, after letting Giancarlo Fisichella go to Ferrari, Vijay Mallya welcomes Tonio Liuzzi as official driver. “ I am delighted to give Tonio the opportunity to return to racing.
