Force India close to its goal

With Sergio Pérez's good series of results since the Belgian Grand Prix, and the return to the points Nico Hulkenberg, Force India took a comfortable lead over Lotus in the fight for fifth place in the Manufacturers' standings ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

41 points separate the two teams before the Interlagos meeting this weekend. Enough to offer a first opportunity to close the debates. “The most important thing for the team is to finish fifth after Abu Dhabi, recalled Hülkenberg at a press conference. I think we need to take three points on Lotus for this. This is the major objective. »

As for Vijay Mallya, owner of the team, confidence remains. “I am confident we can be successful this weekend and placing both cars in the points would be a great way to celebrate our best season. » Force India could indeed achieve its best result in Formula 1 since its inception, having finished in sixth place in 2011, 2013 and 2014.
