Force India dreams of the podium for its 100th F1 Grand Prix

Force India has good potential with its VJM06s which both finished in the top ten at the last Monaco Grand Prix. The consistency of the Indian single-seaters has been very effective since the last races and Vijay Mallya's team still manages to resist with seven points ahead of the team of Woking. However, Paul di Resta and Adrian Sutil have not yet managed to find their way to the podium even if the Scotsman came very close at the Bahrain GP. We have to go back to the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix to find any trace of Force India's only podium obtained with Giancarlo Fisichella who took second place after starting from pole.

On the occasion of the 100th Force India Grand Prix, Vijay Mallya dreams of seeing one of his two drivers finish in the top three. “I think we are on the verge of our first podium since 2009 and it is time to take this important step”, comments the Team Principal and owner of the Indian team. “Montreal would be a great place to do this. It’s a circuit that favors overtaking and our car has the race speed to finish at the front, so anything is possible. I am proud of our results despite missed opportunities at the start of the year. With a little more luck, we would have an even greater advantage over McLaren. But we are focused on the future. We know that our opponents will be more competitive in the next races. But we proved that we were able to face the best teams. »
