Force India: Vijay Mallya arrested

Vijay Mallya was arrested this Tuesday April 18 in London (Great Britain) where he has been a refugee for a year. The Force India team owner will be brought before Westminster Magistrates' Court later today.

This arrest follows the extradition request filed by India on Wednesday February 8 who is suing Vijay Mallya for financial fraud and non-repayment to several creditors following the bankruptcy of his airline Kingfisher Airlaines. The amount of damage would exceed one billion euros.

Vijay Mallya was stuck in Britain after having his passport taken away. The founder of the Indian team of F1 can still appeal in the hope of postponing his extradition.
