If for the moment, very little information is circulating around the future Las Vegas Grand Prix, which should be held in November 2023, it is a safe bet that the prices and packages offered should once again prove exorbitant. A bit like the race weekend held in Miami last May.

Six-figure packages on offer?

In any case, this is what some insiders, like Adam Stern of Sports Business Journal, reveal. The MGM Partners group, owners of most of the city's most prestigious hotel-casinos, from the Bellagio to Mandalay Bay, are reportedly considering buying “notes worth [total] from 20 to 25 million dollars » in order to offer packages combining hotel and Grand Prix weekend, according to its CEO, William Hornbuckle.

Still according to him, room rates could cost up to three times their initial value and rise to prices reaching $100, Grand Prix included. Prices which quite easily echo those offered during the Miami Grand Prix, where the amounts for a full VIP weekend could reach $000.

Let us remember, however, that the date of the Las Vegas Grand Prix is not yet known, since the 2023 F1 calendar is still awaited. Las Vegas has already organized two Grand Prix of Formula 1 in its history, in 1981 and 1982, but it would be a first on the famous Las Vegas Strip, the most famous street in the city where all the most hotels and casinos are located. The urban circuit will be made up of 14 turns, stretched over 6,12 km, with top speeds expected around 342 km/h.

Miami, Vegas... so many totally artificial circuits while the States have real tracks like Laguna Seca, Road America / Elkhart Lake and even Watkins Glen!! But once again, the lure of the bucks trumps the rest….
