Formula 1 – Time for regrets for Honda?

Honda has revealed the outlines of the handover with the Red Bull Powertrains entity. A future cooperation which reveals no major difference with the current partnership. Which makes you wonder if the Japanese manufacturer has not decided to leave F1 too early.

Formula 1 – Time for regrets for Honda?

We take the same ones and continue. Or almost. Officially, Honda will no longer be involved in Formula 1 starting next year. However, its powertrain will always equip the single-seaters lined up by Red Bull Racing et Alpha Tauri. Its employees based in Milton Keynes (UK) will always keep it running smoothly, as will in-house engineers based in Japan, with on-track and remote support. But then, concretely, what will change in 2022? “ Very little, very little », whispered Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing team principal, in the Istanbul paddock. In these conditions, what's the point of leaving?
