Frédéric Vasseur and Alfa Romeo Sauber seduced by Charles Leclerc

Charles Leclerc, confirmed by Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team for 2018 this Saturday, has largely won over the team led by Frédéric Vasseur who will line him up alongside Marcus Ericsson.

Ericsson hopes to move up the hierarchy

Engaged since 2015 within Sauber after a first year with Caterham F1, Marcus Ericsson is an experienced driver facing Charles Leclerc in the 2018 duo. The Swede, weaned from finishing in the points since Italy 2015, is counting on the new era for Hinwil to find more convincing results.

“This winter is going to be very busy, and it will be important to put pressure on the development of the car to start the season well. I am optimistic. 2018 can be a big step forward and a good chance for us to move up the hierarchy. »

Antonio Giovinazzi will be the team's third driver and is scheduled to take part in six Free Practice 1 sessions next year.
