Whether in the Sprint Race or during the Grand Prix, Pierre Gasly was ghostly this weekend. In Austria, the Habs finished in 15th place and especially stood out with their various penalties during the 71 laps on the Red Bull Ring. The Norman never managed to be comfortable with his car like his clash with Sébastian Hag in turn 4. So when it was time to take stock of his racing weekend, Pierre Gasly did not want to elaborate.

« There's not much to be honest, it's been an extremely difficult weekend and I can't wait to be at the French Grand Prix with the developments on the car. », explains Pierre Gasly at the microphone of Canal +. For several weeks, the Norman has been demanding the famous improvements to his car to try to reverse the situation. It's simple, if we put the Azerbaijan Grand Prix aside, Alpha Tauri has only been in the points once in the last five races.

But Pierre Gasly wants to turn the page very quickly and is already planning on Castellet. “ It's going to be an incredible weekend, to be there especially because we should have developments on the car in terms of performance we need to clearly do better than what we've been showing lately. Because we are the slowest on the track so we really have to do better than that », Alarmed the Habs.

In Austria, the Norman to prove that whatever his position, he intends to fight on the track. A state of mind which cost him a 5 second penalty in Austria all the same. “I try to do what I can in the car, I try to give everything and I will always give everything regardless of the position, but for sure fighting for a 15th place is not very exciting so I try to do what I can, we will continue to work because we have a lot of work ahead of us. » After the accident between teammates at Silverstone, the double finish in the last positions should further tarnish the atmosphere within AlphaTauri. The Italian team would be well advised to have improvements on the AT03 before the situation gets even worse.
