Patiently, Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri) is building its most successful season in Formula 1. The Frenchman once again scored valuable points thanks to his fourth place at the Dutch Grand Prix Sunday September 5 on the Zandvoort route.

On the surface, the Norman did not experience any great moments since he finished in the same place he had achieved during qualifying. Moreover, the television cameras practically never followed him from the side of the circuit.

But that would be to omit the remarkable work of the former resident Red Bull, equipped with less efficient equipment than the cutting-edge teams! The Rouennais readily recognizes this: “It's difficult to do better than this fourth position today, given that in front there was only (Max) Verstappen and both Mercedes."

The smile is radiant for Pierre Gasly, who had the luxury of overtaking from the outside Fernando Alonso (Alpine) before the Spaniard changed tires. « Je suis extrêmement satisfait de cette journée, c’est un super résultat surtout sur une piste aussi compliquée. J’ai pris un très bon départ, il a fallu contenir Charles (Leclerc) et les Ferrari, puis j’ai eu une belle bagarre avec Alonso. »

The 2 GP2016 Series champion is riding the wave of good performances along the North Sea. The working atmosphere certainly has something to do with it. “ In the last three races, we had good results (5th in Hungary, 6th place/time in Belgium and 4th in the Netherlands. Editor’s note).

I'm on a very good run, the car is working well! The team is doing a great job, we really have a very good mentality, everything works well like that. So far it's great, but there are still a lot of races left between now and the end of the season. »

Very good result from Pierre Gasly at the end of an unfortunately unexciting race. I hope that he will soon be able to get out of his contract with lemonadiers who are not very objective in their choice of driver (Buemi and Vergne, among others, can attest to this) to join a top team! He deserves it !
