The Styrian Grand Prix was very short for Pierre Gasly. The French driver was forced to retire on the first lap. The cause ? A clash with Charles Leclerc just after the first turn, which destroyed the left rear axle of his Alpha Tauri. About the Ferrari, he had to go to the pits on the first lap for a front wing change. Obviously, Pierre Gasly is disappointed at the end of this Grand Prix.

“Honestly, I don’t think there’s much to say today. I was sandwiched on the straight when the incident happened, relates Gasly. It's been a good weekend so far and I'm extremely disappointed not to have taken part in the race today. I think we had a good package to score points. »

For his part, Charles Leclerc says he is sorry for the incident with the Frenchman, without necessarily recognizing his responsibility.

“I’m sorry about Pierre. I don't really know what happened. I don't know if it was him who moved to the left or me to the right. I’ll look at the images but it’s stupid that it’s happening with Pierre too.”

In the constructors' championship, Alpha Tauri is in 5th place with 46 points, 2 points ahead Aston Martin.
