The rule appeared in the official FIA document regarding the Race Director's notes for the Australian Grand Prix of Formula 1, which this weekend will be Niels Wittich, formulated like this: “The wearing of jewelry in the form of piercings or metal neck chains is prohibited during the competition and must therefore be checked before departure. »

This does not follow a debate concerning a particular driver, but it is a precautionary measure taken by the one who replaces Micheal Masi this season, alternating with Eduardo Freitas, who continues to officiate in Endurance and WEC in parallel with his new activity in Formula 1. Several drivers have been seen with bracelets or rings in their car lately. Wearing certain jewelry could in fact complicate the extraction of the tub in the event of a serious incident.

However, it is unlikely that sporting sanctions will be applied if a driver finds himself in violation this weekend. If there were to be a sanction, it would probably be of a purely financial nature.

After painting to scrape a few grams off the single-seaters, some drivers will also lighten up very noticeably!!
