Korean GP: drivers are confident

With final validation increasingly delayed, the Korean Grand Prix continues to be the talk of the paddock. Although the track was finished a few weeks ago, certain finishes and installations were still not out of the ground. Despite some alarmist opinions, the drivers remain confident that the Grand Prix will take place.

« I think we will go to Korea because we have no news. And as they say, no news is good news? At worst, if it doesn't happen, it won't change much in terms of the title race given the new points scale ", explain to us Fernando Alonso.

« I'm pretty sure we're going to go there, reassures on his side Sébastien Buemi. Several times in the past, certain new circuits were supposedly not ready and, in the end, it always happened. I'm sure they will put the right staff in to get the circuit ready on time. »

The organizers also wanted to be reassuring, affirming that the circuit was now completed “ at 98 or 99% ". The final layer of asphalt is being laid, with the track expected to be ready on Sunday evening, the day before Charlie Whiting passes by, who will inspect the Yeongam route.
