Nicolas Deschaux, President of the FFSA, was chosen on June 26 by the Minister of Sports Valérie Fourneyron to evaluate the technical, financial and legal conditions for a return of the French Grand Prix to Paul-Ricard or Magny-Cours . The Federation did not waste time by first contacting the company FOWC which holds the commercial rights to the F1, who said she was in favor of holding the project permanently or alternately on the two circuits ready to host the discipline.
The FFSA is obviously in discussions with the organizers of the two French circuits in order to benefit from the potential and feasibility of each project. These first elements will mainly be used to establish a forecast budget and to calculate the local and national economic benefits. After having gathered and analyzed the elements made available by the different parties, the Federation will submit its report to Valérie Fourneyron in mid-September of this year.
