Extremely frightening scene for Pierre Gasly in Suzuka. While the Habs had gone through the pits to change his damaged front wing under safety car regime, the Norman emerged far behind the peloton he was trying to join. Until he encountered a tractor working on the track, in absolutely terrible visibility conditions and while he was obviously driving as fast as possible to get back to his place! A situation which is not without rekindling memories of the terrible accident in 2014 on this same circuit which ended up costing the life of Jules Bianchi.

In addition to the black anger of Pierre Gasly on the radio. Some pilots have criticized this situation on social networks, starting with Lando Norris and Sergio Pérez. Philippe Bianchi, Jules' father, also reacted on his Instagram account.

Lando Norris : “Wtf. How is this possible? We lost a life in this situation a few years ago. We risk our lives, especially in conditions like this. But this…unacceptable. »

Sergio Pérez : “How can we make it clear that we no longer want to see a crane racing? We lost Jules because of a mistake like this. What happened today is totally unacceptable! I hope this is the last time I see a runway crane! »

Philippe Bianchi: “No respect for the lives of the pilots, no respect for the memory of Jules. It's incredible. »

Unacceptable indeed for multiple reasons indeed! Question: Did Michael MASI come to Japan to freelance from his native Australia?
