GP France – The Mercedes remain in the lead in EL3

Valtteri Bottas set the best time in practice for the French GP during EL3 ahead of his teammate Lewis Hamilton. The Ferraris are far behind.

GP France – The Mercedes remain in the lead in EL3

The Mercedes once again displayed promising performances during EL3 of the French GP contested on the Paul-Ricard circuit (Var). Valtteri Bottas established the testing benchmark this Saturday morning with a lap of Castellet completed in 1’30”159, 41 thousandths ahead of his teammate Lewis Hamilton.

The Ferrari remain behind with Charles Leclerc et Sebastian Vettel more than 4 tenths of the first W10. THE Red Bull de Max Verstappen et Pierre Gasly followed by more than a second.

The McLaren kept the pace. Daniel Ricciardo (Renault) ranks 8th between the MCL34s of Lando Norris et Carlos Sainz Jr. Nico Hulkenberg placed the second Renault at the gates of the Top 10 behind theAlfa Romeo by Kimi Räikkönen.

Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo) took 12th position ahead Alexander albon (Toro Rosso). The Haas remain in difficulty, Romain Grosjean ranking 14th in front of his teammate Kevin Magnussen. It's not better for Racing Point with Sergio Pérez 16th and Lance stroll 18th between the Toro Rosso of Daniil Kvyat and the Williams of Robert Kubica and George Russell, the latter having covered only 4 laps after suffering a loss of power.

 

 

Qualifying for the French GP will begin at 15 p.m. and will be followed live on Canal+ and TMC as well as with our live text.
