10/10 Fernando Alonso

The double Spanish world champion proves, if necessary, that he has returned to his best level with an XXL weekend on a track that everyone was discovering. Certainly, theAlpine was surprisingly fast at Losail, but it still took a real hoop handler in qualifying to snatch a 5th time behind the usual tenors. Promoted to 3rd position thanks to grid penalties, Alonso did not let the opportunity pass and began his demonstration by overflowing Pierre Gasly with authority from the first meters of the race. He then managed his effort perfectly to make a risky one-stop strategy work and resist the return of Sergio Pérez in the final moments. Alonso grabs his first podium F1 since the 2014 Hungarian GP with Ferrari. A well-deserved result given his very solid performances since his return.
