Grosjean: “It’s a unique experience”

After his years enstone, notably at the wheel of Lotus single-seaters F1 Team, Romain Grosjean has chosen change for the 2016 season. Exit England and make way for America with the challenge of Haas F1 Team of Gene Haas, newcomer to the F1 World Championship.

A new life for the French driver, who spoke to AUTOhebdo a few days before the start of the season this weekend in Australia on the Albert Park track in Melbourne. Excerpts

“Usually this race (in Australia) has a few surprises, when you cross the finish line you're pretty close to the points. I think overall we're not far from playing in the mid-table group.

[...] It's a unique experience to share the launch of a new team and to participate in the first steps of its first car, what's more for a team from a country which has not been much represented in F1, and whose supporters expect a lot..."
