Grosjean in the points in Monaco

Romain Grosjean took 8th place at the Monaco GP finishing between Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Felipe Massa (Williams). The pilot Haas thus finished in the same position as his rank on the starting grid after having achieved astonishing qualifying for the Frenchman who thought he was further back.

“I was at 120% of the car’s capacity, recognized Romain Grosjean on Canal+. We achieved a qualifying result that exceeded our potential and we struggled to follow the Toro Rosso. We had a good race even if we didn't have the performance to do better. »

The tires in question?

Romain Grosjean had to give in to Lewis Hamilton without managing to worry Carlos Sainz Jr (Toro Rosso) after suffering a loss of performance in his second stint.

“I was hoping to resist Lewis by doing the qualifying laps when my direct opponents came to the pits. We particularly lacked performance with the super soft tires. This is a general trend this season where we suffer more with the harder types of rubber. »

Kevin Magnussen completed Haas' good result F1 Team placing second car of the American team in 10th position.

Romain Grosjean occupies 12th place in the Championship, 4 points ahead of his teammate Kevin Magnussen. Haas F1 Team finds itself tied on points with Renault Sport F1 Team which achieved a goalless score in Monaco.
