Grosjean: overtaking is no easy task at Monza

After a difficult race last weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix, where he took 13th place at Spa-Francorchamps, Romain Grosjean hopes to turn the page and get back into the points this week in Monza where the Italian GP will be contested.

The pilot Haas expects a lively event on the fast layout of the Italian circuit which favors overtaking, but the Frenchman emphasizes that the maneuvers require sustained attention from the competitors.

“The characteristics of the track make it possible to reach very high speeds. Everyone is banking on low downforce levels. It's a temple of speed. However, overtaking does not happen with a snap of the fingers. Despite everything, we lose support when following another car coming out of tight turns. It’s one of the races that offers a lot of overtaking and a lot of action,” commented the Frenchman.

Romain Grosjean shares the general feeling in the paddock by being enthusiastic about returning to Monza.

“It’s a race that we look forward to. The atmosphere is boiling in Monza. the Tifosi, the public, everything is fantastic. The track is located in the middle of a park. There are so many people who come to see us to support the pilots and above all Ferrari. It's electric and I love it! », added Romain Grosjean.
