Grosjean lists Haas concerns

The season did not start under the best auspices for Romain Grosjean (Haas) in Austria. Qualified in 15th place on the Red Bull Ring, the Frenchman experienced a difficult ordeal, between a spin and a brake failure which forced him to retire.

“We were controlling the brakes from the start, but obviously something is wrong with the pad cooling, He says.

Same thing happened to Kevin (Magnussen, his teammate. Editor’s note), but earlier in the Grand Prix because he probably managed the mechanics less. We are working on it, we hope it will be resolved next weekend.

In reality, the brakes were not the only problem encountered by the Habs. « My front wing broke, it delaminated very early in the race. This had a significant impact on the performance, while on Friday, my pace was not too bad. »

In addition, Romain Grosjean's last concern concerns pace on long stints. " It seems like the Haas was the slowest car (Sunday). It was very complicated to take, especially in traffic. »

The American team, in great difficulty the previous year, is maintaining morale for the moment despite this double abandonment at the opening. “Obviously the guys are disappointed with the result, but it’s only the first round and we have the capacity to improve. »
