Grosjean: “Getting into the points”

13th in the Brazilian Grand Prix, Romain Grosjean can't wait to get back into his R29 to discover the new Abu Dhabi route. On a circuit that the drivers will discover, he will try to do his best and thus conclude the season in the best possible way before thinking about the next one.

« It is certain that it will be a new adventure for everyone and I am very curious to discover this circuit which has been talked about a lot. I have seen photos of the circuit, it is very impressive. The track is also interesting: it has long straights and I hope it will offer overtaking opportunities. I also think that this Grand Prix will remind us of urban races with the tall buildings and the yachts in the port. »

If Abu Dhabi has to remind him of urban tracks, Grosjean will certainly think that it was in Valencia last August on an urban track that he made his debut in F1. For this race, he distinguished himself, notably narrowly missing the passage to Q2 for his first qualifying session. This time he will try to get closer to his teammate.

At the end of the weekend, it will then be time to take stock of the seven Grand Prix contested within the team. Renault F1. « I think this race should be a little easier for me because all the drivers will have to learn the circuit. My goals are to try to match Fernando?s times, have a good qualifying session and, hopefully, be able to get into the points », concluded Grosjean.
