Grosjean was in constant trouble at the Spanish GP

Romain Grosjean saved Lotus' weekend F1 Team by arriving at the finish of the Spanish GP in 8th place after starting from 11th position. While his teammate Pastor Maldonado had to retire for the 4th time in 5 races, this time due to a damaged rear wing, the Frenchman managed to finish the event despite major gearbox problems.

?I didn?t have 4th gear the whole race, so it was difficult. And if we say to ourselves that when we have a difficult weekend we finish 8th, that's very positive,” underlined the former GP2 Series champion on Canal+.

Romain Grosjean was also disrupted by a bad pit stop where he jostled one of his mechanics. “They were scared and I wasn’t being smart either. What happened ? We looked at the data and I braked two meters later to arrive at the box,” admitted the Frenchman who is in 8th place in the Championship, 9 points behind Daniel Ricciardo.
