Grosjean: “I need to improve on starts”

Romain Grosjean had another complicated race at the Abu Dhabi GP. Starting from 15th place on the grid, the driver Haas was only able to take 15th position at the finish on the Yas Marina track, finishing behind his teammate Kevin Magnussen.

The former GP2 champion was aware that points were out of reach on a regular basis, but the Frenchman is mainly worried about his start to the race ahead of 2020.

“There was no miracle. The car was very complicated to drivehe said. I have to improve on the starts. I'm going to check this with the engineers because I lose places every time. The strategy was not optimal but it wouldn't have changed much because the race is over when you start to have a lot of blue flags. »

When it comes time to take stock, Romain Grosjean seems eager to put this season behind him and hopes to approach next year on a more positive note.

“It was a failed season. We lost opportunities to do well. We knew it would be complicated even if the tests were promising here. We haven't had any luck at all this year, we have to hope that things will be better next year.", he added.

Romain Grosjean finished 18th in the championship with 8 points scored, 12 less than Kevin Magnussen. His last Top 10 dates back to the German GP.
