Grosjean: “I feel better as a driver”

Author of six podiums, including four in the last six races of the season, the Lotus driver F1 even managed the feat of inserting himself between the two pilots Red Bull during the Austin Grand Prix. A performance which gave him confidence for the 2014 season.

“I feel better as a driver and I think I have proven that I am one of the best drivers, did he declare. This year there was no number 1 driver at Lotus but Kimi was sort of the star driver. »

Now supported by the Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado for the 2014 season, the 27-year-old Frenchman hopes to continue to fight at the forefront. After the departure of Kimi Räikkönen, Grosjean will have to take on the role of team leader.

“Good drivers know how to do a good job and the teams know they can count on them, the 2 GP2011 Series champion told us this week. I think Pastor is someone who can be very fast on a lap. It will be interesting for me to further improve my driving compared to my new teammate,” concluded the Frenchman.

This year, Romain Grosjean finished seventh in the championship with 132 points, two places behind Kimi Räikkönen.
