Grosjean: Victory is not far away for Lotus

Since the start of the season, the British team has established itself as the third force in the championship behind Red Bull Racing et Mclaren Mercedes thanks to four podiums. After seven Grands Prix, Lotus is however the only team in the Top 5 not to have reached the highest step of the podium, but it would not take long according to Romain Grosjean.

« Victory is not far away. We need to qualify better », admits Romain Grosjean. “ It's not our strong point this year, but we have to work on it. I think Friday and Saturday were particularly difficult for us in Canada, but we learned a lot about the car. »

« We need to head into each race weekend with the aim of winning. I hope we improve in qualifying, get a good start and then see how things go. It's interesting to fight up front and that's always what you want, but the gaps are small this year and the most important thing is to score big points for the team. If we have a good weekend from start to finish, I think we will be able to fight for the podium and even the victory. We'll see after qualifying where we stand, hopefully we can get another good result. »
