Grosjean: “The car is back”

Romain Grosjean had a good first day of testing on the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo, which is hosting the Brazilian GP this weekend, setting the 7th fastest time in the first two sessions.

“It was a good day of testing, confirmed the pilot Haas. We tested a lot of things in FP2, but the car was less satisfactory and we are going to go back to the previous settings. The work is not lost because it is useful not only for this weekend but also for afterwards. The car is back after a complicated weekend in Mexico. »

“Settings for the weekend will depend on the weather forecast for qualifying and the race. We were pretty happy with our performance on the wet track in Austin, but we don't know yet what the conditions will be.”, specified the Habs.

Romain Grosjean hopes to do better than last year when he only took 15th position, especially since Haas F1 Team is 30 points behind Renault after having lost his appeal following the Frenchman's disqualification at the Italian GP.

“It’s an old-fashioned circuit that drivers appreciate, where the issue of exceeding track limits does not arise. We pay directly for a mistake, but it's clearly more fun to ride on this kind of track. It’s just unfortunate that the vibrators were changed”, underlined the 2011 GP2 Series champion.
