Grosjean: Lotus F1 also made progress in the rain

Romain Grosjean completed the last day of testing of the week on the Catalunya circuit, finishing with the last time achieved (1'34"800) more than 11 seconds behind the reference time established by Lewis Hamilton. The Lotus driver achieved his best time in wet conditions, with most of his program focusing on keeping the E21 on grooved tires. The Frenchman is also satisfied with the behavior of his new mount in these conditions.

“I spent a lot of time in the car today, but it was mostly in the pits and not on the track”, commented the 2011 GP2 Series champion who completed 41 laps of the track today. “It was cold and the track was slippery, the conditions were worse than you would expect during the season. This at least allowed us to test the performance of the rain and intermediate tires. I'm happy that I didn't encounter any problems and the balance of the car was good. I can't wait to experience the new package and my feeling is very positive so far. »
