Grosjean: Lotus will turn its head around in 2015

Lotus F1 Team doesn't have much to expect from this season. With only eight points scored at mid-season, the teamenstone is now waiting to try its luck again next year where it is likely to switch from the 6l V1.6 turbo / hybrid Renault than Mercedes currently more efficient. It is a difficult test for Romain Grosjean who was still a contender for victory last year and who lined up the podiums alongside Kimi Räikkönen.

Despite these difficulties, the former GP2 Series champion is patient and continues to show his full support for the team. “I am 99,99% sure that the team will be better next year, not even talking about the engine, just because this season was a year of transition”, declared the Frenchman, relayed by ESPNF1.com. “This passage was difficult because we got off on the wrong foot, but everything should be better next year. If you look at Jenson (Button) in 2008, he was struggling with Honda and then he moved to Brawn, which was the same team with a different name, and he became world champion. Alonso also experienced the same thing with good and bad years. It's part of a career and you have to accept it without frustration. »

However, Romain Grosjean is still likely to change teams next year. The French pilot could notably benefit from his relations with Éric Boullier, now director of McLaren F1 Team. “It's sometimes hard because you want to win races, fight at the front and improve things as a competitor. They don't always improve but you have to accept it even if it's difficult. (My future) is always in the back of my mind. I want to win events in the near future and we are working on making that happen. We always think about our future. I'll think about it during the summer break. »
