Director of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA), Romain Grosjean (Haas) has been campaigning for several years for enhanced safety in the cockpits of F1. The Frenchman logically has a say in the introduction this season of the Halo, which is supposed to protect the drivers' heads.
“I hope that Halo represents a transitional phase, and that we will soon find something better, recognizes the Haas driver from the English site Crash.net. This is a first step. I can get used to driving with the Halo, it's fine, but there is one area that doesn't concern me but which I find sad, and that is thatwe no longer see the pilots at all (from the outside). »
“At the end of the day, we have a driver sitting in a car and we only get one helmet decoration per year. But you can't even see the decoration of the helmet anymore, so I think another solution would be more appropriate.", indicates the tricolor, who has paid particular attention to the colors of his helmet for many seasons.
